It's been a bit busy in here lately as I've been working on updating the information in our library systems, doing some reorganizing, some weeding, tracking down information for some of you doing research, etc. I haven't had a moment to post some stuff up here for awhile! So, here's the news, as best and quickly as I can manage!
1) It's Prairie Reader time! I'll have a sign up sheet posted in the library soon. For 7th and 8th graders, if you join Prairie Readers, any books you read can be counted as YARP books as well! (Separate post coming)
2) A new club is forming for table-top gaming. For those who don't know what that is, it refers to any sort of group game that is non-electric, so board games, card games, strategy games, dice games, tile games, rpg's, etc. The first meeting will be Friday, Nov. 2 at 5:30 pm in the High School Library. We'll have pizza, pop, chips, etc. and it will be mostly discussing how the club will be working, thoughts, opinions, etc. This is a casual club, so you're not REQUIRED to come every week. It's just going to be a weekly meeting time for people who like to play games, to hang out, have snacks, and play some, hopefully, new and fun games.
3) Each quarter, the library puts in a book order. If you EVER have a book you'd like to read, let me know!! Student and teacher requests always move to the top of the line when I order. :)
